Description
You are bidding on a lightly circulated, 1982 Vanuatu Central Bank 100 Vatu banknote, Pick #1a. The serial number is AA206269 (the first series to be printed). I got it in Port Vila, Vanuatu in June 1982, shortly after Independence was established. Before then, the country was officially called the New Hebrides Condominium, governed jointly by England and France. It is categorized "lightly circulated" because I folded it to keep as a memento. You can see the folds on the photo. It was never used for purchase. It is written in 3 languages: English, French and Pidgin, the latter being the official spoken language of many South Pacific nations in Micronesia. The Pidgin language is printed on the back "Central Bank Blong Vanuatu" meaning, the "Central Bank
belonging to
Vanuatu." (or just Central Bank of Vanuatu). The country gained independence from British and French Joint Condominium, which relinquished control in 1981.
I am now well over 80 and these mementos of the past are more of a burden than a souvenir. I want to "downsize" before my heirs have to do it for me.

YSIWYG!
I will ship it inside an outer envelope with a "stiffener" for extra protection in the mails.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
