    Description

The Tonga 2 Paanga banknote was introduced by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga in 2008. The banknote is made of light red paper and is 150 x 70 mm in size. Its obverse depicts King George Tupou V and the countrys coat of arms. The reverse of the note features children studying outside the school building, two men playing rugby, and a medallion. The paper bills security features include a 1.4mm windowed security thread with a demetalized NRBT and a watermark that shows King George Tupou V, an electrotype NRBT, and Cornerstones. This particular Tonga 2 Paanga banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
