The banknotes obverse features the flag of Solomon Islands, fish carvings, basket weave designs, and the national emblem. The reverse of the note depicts a group of women ceremonial dancers, a man playing panpipes, and a bird. The 140 x 66 mm paper bill carries a StarChrome windowed security thread with a demetalized CBSI 20. It also has a watermark that reveals a falcons head, an electrotype CBSI, and Cornerstones. The note was printed by De La Rue and bears the signatures of the bank governor Denton Hehenoro Rarawa and Secretary of Finance Fred Fakarii.
