    Description

    This scarce 1910s "B.F.Gravely's" hinged litho 3 1/3oz tobacco tin is in very good condition with no dents, some very superficial rust on the interior bottom and some minor age related paint scrapes and scratches.  Much of the original high gloss finish remains. There is a partial tax stamp.  This very attractive blue and red tin with white lettering features a detailed portrait of Sequoyah (1770-1843), the Cherokee scholar who invented the Cherokee alphabet.  The tobacco was manufactured by the B. F Gravely Tobacco Company, Henry County, VA. in Factory 45, 6th District, VA.
