THE BACKSIDE OF THIS HANDLE IS ONE PIECE OF BLACK JET A SEMI-PRECIOUS STONE FROM THE SOUTHWEST, JET is used for jewelry, beads, the American Indians used Jet for several types of high-end items ornamental purposes. 1095 and 15N20 materials folding and beat until the desired look and thickness is gained then heat-treated to a hardness of 62 to 64 HRC. Plus many other steps that we can skip now that you have an idea of how the best is made. There are many types of Damascus from cheap to Great, Hen & Rooster is giving you a Cert for the quality of this Damascus.
