Description
The Papua New Guinea 20 Kina banknote is part of the 2008 issues. It is red-brown in color and measures 150 x 75 mm. The obverse side shows the BPNG 35th-anniversary logo, the coat of arms with bird of paradise perched on Kundu drum and ceremonial spear, and the National Parliament building in Port Moresby. The reverse side features a boar head, a toea (cowrie shell) necklace from Madang, a Toa armband from Central Province, a shell ornament from Western Province, and tapa cloth patterns. This banknote uses a windowed security thread with demetalized BPNG and contains a shadow image watermark with a bank logo, electrotype BPNG, and cornerstones design.
