    Description

michael austin is a production manager at waterjet cutting inc. in new mexico..he had been working for several years in bob terzuola's shop on his own knives before recently just getting his own shop up and running. because of his day job his production output is low but the quality is at a very high level. Michael told me this maestro is a prototype that he started working on in 2015..he has been working on a unique new locking system that hasn't been perfected yet so he decided to go with a standard liner lock for this proto model to get it ready for his first knife show in 2016. the blade is cpm 154 3.5 inches from top of scale 4 inches from bottom and about 9 inches overall..the scales and liners are anodized titanium cf back spacer. the knife flips like a champ( it's on bearings i forgot to ask the system he used) you can see bob's influence in the design..the knife is masterfully  made smooth functioning and rock solid lock up..you will not be disappointed and will most likely seek out more of his work..(the pics don't do this one any justice)
