Description
You have found a Kingdom Armory Original (V.1) Mini Samaritan folder. I believe this is Kingdom Armory’s first production knife. Don’t quote me on that, I’m not 100% certain. I’ve had this knife since they came out. They were gone quick, I was lucky to get it. I didn’t even know they released subsequent versions until I saw ApostleP’s video on YouTube in which he compares a V.2 to the mini Sebenza in the right hand, Insingo configuration. I don’t own an Insingo so I’ve taken his word for it.This is a small knife by most standards which is perfect for me. I believe that was the clearest comparison ApostleP was making in his video. I love the detent which I describe as soft for a nice, sweeping action to the blade’s deployment. Nice feel in hand (3.5 finger grip for my hand) ha! Depends on your grip I suppose.
I’ve gone back and forth on letting this go, but the plane truth is, it’s a great hard use mini folder, and I’m just not a hard use knife collector. If you’ve got a dear you need taken apart, this will do the job. My biggest need is taking down cardboard.
Everything on it is as it was the day it arrived. I’m letting it go with the case pictured. Not complaining since I never used it, but it could’ve come sharper (probably just the blade thickness). If you plan to use it, I’d give the edge some attention.
This is Monkeyedge’s description way back when they were listed:
Kingdom Armory has worked to bring their popular Samaritan model to a production format. Full titanium frame-lock with textured mock bolster. The Mini Samaritan is a smaller knife (blade is a touch under 3") which makes it perfect to carry just about everywhere. Deep carry pocket clip. Small knife, with a blasted frame and stonewashed blade and ready to do work!
Overall Length: 6 1/2 in
-Blade Length: 3 in
-Cutting Edge Length: 2 7/8 in
-Blade Thickness: .135 in
-Weight: 3oz
-Blade Material: CPM S30V
-Handle Material: Titanium frame
The cutting edge lines a good belly so I’d say you’ve got a little more cutting edge than they give it credit for. About 3”.
